SVP Sales

Function:
To oversee activity and management of the HQ Sales Team. Develop and maintain senior level relations to maximise business opportunities and increase strong brand awareness. Ensure stability as well as continued growth in productivity across all areas. Working hours are based on a 37.5 hour week, 07:00 - 19:00, Monday to Friday. 
Responsibilities:
  • Develop sales & pricing strategies and grow business
  • Help to enhance communication and teamwork within the HQ Sales Team
  • Review efficiency and implement improvement measures across the region
  • Monthly reporting on company sales performance including productivity.
  • Actively search for all aircraft acquisition and package opportunities
  • Monitor and act upon market trends and changes
  • Overview Net profitability
  • Analysis of NCRs and action plans to resolve recurring issues
  • Assisting in the processes of aircraft teardowns and actively market high value components & packages from teardowns
  • Strong commercial awareness by ensuring decisions benefit the company
  • Management of local projects (stock, warehouses, partnerships)
  • Ensure staffing levels match workloads as well as contingency plans for sudden leavers
  • Increased development of repair network to support and expand local stocks
  • Continued analysis of stock requirements (levels & locations) and movements, high and low moving parts
  • Develop and expand on consumables and expendables business
  • Cultivate senior level relations to increase contractual business
  • Ensure all staff have received and maintain adequate training to follow procedures and offer high levels of customer service
  • Arrange and visit customers both solo and accompanying staff when required
  • Review of performance reports & act upon findings as necessary
  • Organise and attend events relating to the business
  • Ensure cultural awareness is considered
  • Draft and negotiate proposals to meet customer needs
  • Evaluation of RFPs and commercial proposals
  • Work in conjunction with the Accounts department to ensure all customers exposure are kept within limits to protect the company.
  • Understand and adhere to Export Control regulations where relevant
  • Liaise with internal departments as the nature of the specific task may require
  • Assist the Head of Sales with all tasks as required
  • Any other duties as requested
Requirements:
  • Background in Aviation with minimum 8 years’ experience in a senior customer facing role
  • Extensive knowledge and expertise in sales gained within the Aviation MRO industry
  •  Comprehensive understanding of Aircraft Components
  • Ability to recognise and adapt to different countries and cultures and accustomed to cultural habits and ways of communication
  • Ability to deliver high level customer service and support
  • Recognise and react to customer priority requirements
  • Willing to travel extensively in the area
  • Exceptional organisation and management skills with ability to plan, coordinate and delegate work
  • Excellent negotiation skills with proven financial achievements
  • Experienced in contracts legal terms and provisions
  • Problem solving ability
  • Numerate, accurate with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Analytical thinking and reporting skills
  • Flexible and adaptable to work in a busy environment
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels
  • Excellent command of the English Language, other languages advantageous but not essential
  • Self-motivated with the desire to succeed
  • Excellent computer literacy, highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
